Meatballs:
1.5 lbs ground beef
1 t garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
6 servings cooked rice
Mix together meat, bread crumbs, 1/2 t salt, 1/2 t pepper, egg, and 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce until well blended. Form into meatballs and saute in large skillet or 5 quart dutch oven until no longer pink inside. Drain and return to pan. Add remaining tomato sauce, onion, green pepper, and seasonings. Bring to low boil, cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour. Serve with cooked rice.
